Step 15. As I pass into the third week already, I’m reminded that many people say that it takes three weeks to form a new habit. Now that is a bit of a myth, but there is a grain of truth there; repeatedly performing an action gradually automates that action, and after three weeks certain actions do become more habitual. But those habits are quickly broken especially if there is a lack of focus on the goal to which those actions are being used to attain. So, it’s important to continue reviewing goals, planning, acting on those plans, and celebrating those small steps that are taken every day. Additionally, it’s important to realise that some days will not be perfect and to accept those days for what they are without losing the vision.

I had an improved sleep last night — earlier to bed and a deeper sleep. Tonight will be another step forward — slightly earlier than last night. I shall continue like that until I’m into my optimal sleep routine. One step at a time.

Day 7 of healthy eating done.

Day 15, job done.
