Step 11 of the Journey: Handling stress

Step 11. Keeping calm on a stressful day. The day started well with reading writing and exercise before taking my son to school and enjoying a virtual walk with my daughter. Financial uncertainties would normally have derailed me in the past, but today when they arrived I managed to maintain a sense of inner peace and an ability to focus. Why? Because I read my principles and goals this morning, and remembered my new key phrase: Keep focused. It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t perfect but it was a huge improvement on previous similar incidents. In other words, it was another small step. So next time I should handle it even better. I’m still moving forwards. I’m getting stronger. I’m still not missing chocolate!
